There are five junior high schools in the area including Maple Grove Junior High located at 7000 Hemlock Lane at (763) 315-7600 for grades 6th through 8th. There are two high schools - one Baccalaureate School and an Area Learning Center. One of the high schools is Maple Grove Senior High School located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane at (763) 391-8700 for grades 9th through 12th.
The Maple Grove Farmers Market is a great place to shop for local farm fresh produce, bread, and other interesting local fare. The Farmers Market has over 60 different vendors. The products are brought in fresh every week and each season offers different produce. Free parking is available and there are a variety of events and activities for the whole family. During colder months, the Farmers Market moves indoors to serve you and your family better. Hours of operation are Thursdays from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. October through December and Thursdays from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. from June through September. Each city has different rules and ordinances concerning pet licenses. The City of Maple Grove wants to help you make your transition easy by providing all pet license information available for you in one department. Animal licenses are valid from January 1 to December 31 of every year. Each resident is allowed up to two dogs and two cats. If you have more than two of each, you must apply for a Kennel/Shelter license for $75.00 per year. You can fill the form out online and mail it in to Maple Grove Police Department/Animal Licensing at PO Box 1180, 12800 Arbor Lakes Parkway, Maple Gove, MN, 55311 with $2.00 and a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate. The Maple Grove Community Center is a popular recreational and meeting facility for use for all Maple Grove residents. The Community Center is available for birthday parties, business meetings or even wedding receptions. There is an aquatic center, a gymnasium, ice arena, an indoor playground, skate park, different room rentals and a teen center.
